Why Marka opened its doors
Building hope where refuge is still needed
In 2004 we began as outreach to Iraqi refugees in Marka's streets. Today we serve Syrian, Iraqi, Palestinian, and Jordanian families — because a beacon only matters if it stays lit.
Education, medical care, home visits, and vocational dignity — each ministry is a room in the same refuge.
Through Sense of Community, physical needs and spiritual presence move together. That is the idea behind everything you are about to see.

The Nun Project is a social enterprise at Marka Church where Iraqi Christian refugees reclaim vocational purpose through handmade art. Each piece is crafted slowly — stone by stone, thread by thread — as families rebuild income, skill, and hope in Amman.
